  • New post will leverage Alliance synergies to maximize business opportunities

Paris – Nissan has appointed Frank Torres to a newly-created role of Region Divisional Vice President, Business Transformation and Alliance for the Africa, Middle-East, India, Europe and Oceania region (AMIEO).

Torres will be accountable for delivering business transformation and operational targets, with responsibility for strategy development and execution through collaboration with the different AMIEO functions.

He will also lead Nissan's relationship within the Alliance, working with Renault and Mitsubishi to drive synergies and maximize business opportunities across the region.

Torres will maintain his current responsibilities for industrial and commercial operations in Russia and for industrial operations in Spain, where he will continue to represent Nissan in discussions around the reindustrialization process of Nissan Barcelona plant.

Torres joined Nissan in Spain in 2007 as a Production Engineering Analyst, before becoming Managing Director for Nissan Motor Iberica (NMISA) in 2011. From 2016 he led Nissan Europe's Overseas Programme Director's Office, before becoming head of Nissan for Russia in 2019. He will continue to sit on the AMIEO Management Committee, reporting to Guillaume Cartier, AMIEO MC Chairperson.

Cartier said: "The Nissan NEXT transformation plan continues to gather pace, with the AMIEO region at the forefront of many strategic activities, including electrifying of our product range and generating win-win projects for the Alliance.

"My congratulations to Frank on his new role. His experience across the Nissan business will be a great asset for us in driving the business forward in the years to come.
