Nissan Ends Negotiations with Siam Motors
Tokyo - Negotiations between Nissan Motor Company and Siam Group on Nissans investment to increase its stake from 25 percent to 74.9 percent in Siam Nissan Automobiles Co., Ltd. (SNA) and Siam Motors & Nissan Co., Ltd. (SMN) did not reach the final agreement due to differences relative to the management of the operation. Following the announcement of a basic agreement reached in March 2001, the companies have been negotiating the managerial scheme. However they were unable to reach a mutually acceptable implementation of the terms laid out in that basic agreement.
