Nissan announces corporate officer changes
Tokyo, June 21, 2001 -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd announced the appointment of Carlos Ghosn, President and Chief Operating Officer, as President and Chief Executive Officer effective today. Yoshikazu Hanawa, formerly Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will remain Chairman.
Mr. Ghosn became Nissan's Chief Operating Officer in June 1999 and additionally took on the role of President in June 2000.
