PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Saad Hassan oversees programme management across the AMIEO region, with responsibility for vehicle programmes throughout their full lifecycle – from initial product concept and planning through development, launch and end of production. His team works across functions and markets to align global programme requirements and business priorities with local customer needs.
Saad joined Nissan in Egypt as a product planner in 2008. He later moved to General Motors, leading product planning and programme management across Egypt and North Africa, before returning to Nissan in Dubai in 2013. There, he progressed through a series of senior roles before taking responsibility for the Overseas Programme Director (OPD) function.
In 2023, Saad moved to Japan as Global Deputy Programme Director, broadening his experience across major Nissan vehicle programmes. He relocated to France in 2026 to take up his current role as Vice President, Overseas Programme Director, Nissan AMIEO.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Played a key role in shaping the Nissan Patrol from early product planning through to programme management, strengthening its overall business case and performance.
- Championed the Nissan Magnite for India and its subsequent expansion into international markets, working with teams to enable right and left-hand drive variants.
- Developed the business case to introduce Nissan Magnite production in Egypt, supporting the plant's future and bringing the model to local customers.

BEHIND THE TITLE
Family is an important part of Saad's life, and he is passionate about sharing the lessons and experiences from his own career with his children, helping them approach challenges with greater confidence and perspective. Outside work, he also enjoys swimming and padel.
