Who is Stephane?
In his current role, Stephane is responsible for driving Nissan's aftersales division across the newly formed AMIEO region. This includes providing leadership and change management on aftersales services, developing and implementing parts sales strategies, creating customer loyalty and retention initiatives, and ensuring the growth of customer satisfaction across over 43 markets.

Career History
Stephane started his career with Renault where he worked for over nine years. Starting as an Engine Product Manager in 1999, he then took on various roles in the Aftersales marketing  before leading Parts sales and marketing firstly in Poland and then in South Africa. Between 2008 and 2010, Stephane held the position of Europe Key Account Manager for AGC where his responsibilities included optimising Replacement Glass Business Unit profit during the financial crisis. Stephane held various positions at Fiat Chrysler between 2010 and 2016 across the aftersales teams in France and Italy (where he led 10 European markets), Canada and finally Australia. Stephane then joined Nissan, just over three years ago, as VP Aftersales, Asia & Oceania and was based in Bangkok.

Achievements
Stephane says helping to build the Aftersales function in Nissan's A&O (Asia and Oceania) region from scratch is a big achievement from during his time with the company. He says that working with his team to put in place uniform processes in all countries across the region and to have everyone working towards one coordinated strategy was a great experience and was demonstrative of the collective effort.

Why is Nissan different?
The quality of Nissan's products and the structures behind this is what Stephane says sets the company apart from competitors. From the processes across the organisation to the advanced engineering to the excellent customer service, Stephane believes this is demonstrative of the brand's Japanese DNA and heritage. He also thinks Nissan's approach to innovation is a real strength and that the choice to move into electrification before other automakers is a great example of this.

Future Predictions
Stephane says the automotive industry is currently in a transition period but that in the future, vehicles will become more than a tool to move around in. He says with automakers already starting to push for cars to be further integrated into customers' lives, connectivity and autonomy will only increase and accelerate with this innovation. Stephane also says that vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology will come to play a big role in this integration.
