NISSAN TAKES COMMAND OF THE SMALL CAR MARKET

Nissan Live reporting: The latest news direct from the Nissan Live Event in Bratislava, Slovakia, where Nissan is showcasing its power in the B segment with the new Note, new Micra and latest Juke.

BRATISLAVA, Slovakia (24th June, 2013):  Today marks the start of the latest Nissan Live event, showcasing the new Note, new Micra and the Juke complete with an enhanced diesel engine.

All three models combine sector-first technologies, bold design and technical innovation to create a diverse range that has the B-segment covered.

Leading the new line-up is the all-new Note. Redesigned from the ground up, the Note has been engineered to meet the unique demands of the European market, and sets new standards for sector-first technology, practicality, design and value for money. Built at Nissan's Sunderland plant in the UK, the new Note introduces a range of innovative premium features to the sector.

These include the Nissan Safety Shield - linking three safety systems to create a comprehensive driver assistance package - and the acclaimed Around View Monitor that provides drivers with a remarkable 360-degree bird's eye view of the car's surroundings.

Joining the all-new Note in Nissan's innovative small car line-up is the new Micra, which benefits from a substantial design and technology update.

The backbone of Nissan's small car range for over 30 years, the latest version of the Micra features a bold new design at the front and rear, and benefits from a completely revamped cabin. Customers will also be able to personalise their Micra as never before thanks to a range of design and styling options.

In true Nissan fashion, the Micra also introduces exciting and useful in-car technology in the form of the latest-generation NissanConnect navigation and communication system complete with GoogleTM functionality.

Completing Nissan's fully updated small car range is a new Juke diesel. Featuring Stop/Start idle system as standard, the new engine has been developed by Alliance partner Renault, and delivers more torque (+20Nm), lower emissions and significantly improved refinement. Fuel economy has also been improved by 12 per cent, making it one of the best all-round packages in the sector.
